Macy’s Sells Five Stores

Macy’s (Cincinnati) has sold five of its stores to Chicago-based General Growth Properties for $46 million.

According to the Cincinnati Business Journal, Macy's will continue to operate one of the stores in McLean, Va., on lease from General Growth Properties.

The other impacted stored include a Oklahoma City location that closed in the spring and the three other stores that will close in spring 2017. They include stores in Ky., Wis. and N.C. The closings will impact 194 employees.

The retailer currently operates 728 locations.
