Macy's to Sponsor Internships for Visual Students

Macy's (New York), through senior vp, director of visual merchandising and store design Karen Smith Harvey and her staff, will fund eight internships on behalf of the Planning and Visual Education Committee (PAVE).

The internships will be for 10 weeks, with the student recipients working in all departments of visual and store planning at the retailer's Macy's East headquarters and stores. Seven of the internships will go to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, and one will go to a senior at the High School of Fashion Industries, also in New York, who's headed for FIT after graduation.

Macy's is also donating three computers to the high school.
