Macy's Unveils Omni-Channel Efforts

Macy’s (Cincinnati) announced changes in its omni-channel marketing efforts this morning. Chief among them: Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s stores will be among the first retailers to adopt Apple Pay, the mobile payment system unveiled by Apple (Cupertino, Calif.) last week that will be available on the new Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices.

Macy’s is also launching a same-day delivery pilot program this fall, according to Women's Wear Daily. Other developments announced today include the new Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s iOS and Android apps and mobile wallets that offer omni-channel checkout processes.
