Mango Finds Ripe Retail Growth Opportunities

Fashion retailer Mango is taking advantage of an 8 percent uptick in profits for fiscal 2008 to grow its brand worldwide. The Spanish chain is on track to add 150 stores this year.

Although targets range from Belgrade, Dubai and Moscow to New York and Paris, Asia is still a primary focus. Seven stores are slated to open in China, bringing the brand’s presence to 57 stores there. Japan is a hotbed for Mango’s growth, with four stores set to debut this month and next. Two new stores will open in Seoul and two more will come on line in Singapore before the end of this year.
