Marketing Kmart

Sears Holdings Corp. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) has named Bill Stewart chief marketing officer for Kmart. Stewart joins the company from Levi-Strauss & Co. (San Francisco), where he served the last five years as vp, marketing, for the Dockers brand. Stewart has also served in senior marketing positions at the Coca-Cola Co. (Atlanta) and General Mills (Minneapolis). He will report to Maureen McGuire, Sears Holdings' chief marketing officer.

The retailer also announced that Irv Neger has joined Kmart as senior vp, Kmart apparel, overseeing its apparel strategy, product positioning, merchandising and buying. Neger, who has over 30 years of retailing experience, was previously senior vp, softlines, for Family Dollar Stores (Matthews, N.C.).
