More Starbucks Workers Consider Union

Following the unionization of Starbucks’ (Seattle) first corporate stores in Buffalo, N.Y., workers at 54 stores across 19 states are said to be pursuing union elections, reports NPR. Fifteen of those stores joined the movement this week by petitioning federal labor officials to schedule a vote.

Last month, the majority of workers at two of the three New York stores that held union elections voted to unionize. This month, 30 Starbucks workers in Mesa, Ariz., along with three more Buffalo-area stores will decide whether to unionize.
