Narnia’s World

Taubman Centers Inc. (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) announced plans for a promotion surrounding the theatrical release of Walt Disney Pictures’/Walden Media’s “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” this holiday season.

Beginning Nov. 15, 2005, Taubman-owned shopping centers will create an environment showcasing elements of the world in the movie, leading up to its December 9 release. Decor will adorn the mall bringing to life key moments from the film through larger than life snow globes. The holiday set will include a walk-through magic wardrobe that simulates snowfall in Narnia; life-like figures that help tell the story from the film; and a green screen digital photography opportunity.

The experience was designed and produced by the Becker Group, Baltimore-based experiential marketing company.

Participating centers include: Beverly Center (Los Angeles); The Mall at Short Hills, N.J.; Dolphin Mall (Miami); Fair Oaks (Fairfax, Va.); The Shops at Willow Bend (Plano, Texas); Cherry Creek (Denver), Colo.; International Plaza (Tampa); Northlake Mall (Charlotte, N.C.); Westfarms (Hartford, Conn.); MacArthur Center (Norfolk, Va.); and The Mall at Wellington Green (Wellington, Fla.).
