The National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers (NASFM) announced the winners of its 2005 Retail Design Awards in Las Vegas on March 21, 2005.
The Cartier store in Honolulu, designed by Barteluce Architects & Associates (New York) and 4B1 (Paris), won Fixture of the Year, as well as Grand Prize in the Hardline Specialty Store Under 3000 sq. ft.
Telus in Ontario, designed by burdifilek (Toronto) and built by Alu Inc. (New York), was honored as Store of the Year, for jumping its retail classification to the next level.
The award-winning Telus store will be covered in the May issue of VM+SD magazine, and the Cartier store, including its elegant store fixture grouping, will be featured in the June issue.
NASFM’s awards program recognizes store fixture manufacturing and design. Forty-five awards were presented this year, including 28 grand prizes and outstanding merits for retail stores or shops and 15 awards recognizing individual store fixtures or store fixture groupings.
