Neiman Marcus Men’s Fashion Director Resigns

Matthew Singer, men’s fashion director for The Neiman Marcus Group (Dallas), has resigned after two years on the job.

Women’s Wear Daily reported that Ken Downing, the company’s senior vp and fashion director, will oversee men’s until a successor is named.

WWD said Singer has created a consulting business, M. Singer Consulting LLC, and that he will be “exploring opportunities, consulting on a few projects and spending some quality time with the family.”

Singer had overseen the men’s fashion direction for both Neiman Marcus and its New York division, Bergdorf Goodman. He joined the luxury retailer in January 2012 after serving as associate men’s fashion director for Bloomingdale’s, the New York-based division of Macy’s Inc. (Cincinnati).
