Eataly Planned for Toronto

Eataly (Monticello d'Alba, Italy) is set to open in Toronto’s Yorkville section in 2019.

The 50,000-square-foot unit will have three floors and be the food emporium’s first Canadian location, reports the Gourmet Retailer.

The company is partnering with the Selfridges Group (London) and Terroni Restaurants (Toronto) for the Canadian expansion in order to create a location is distinct to Toronto.

“Eataly Toronto will be spectacular,” said Eataly founder Oscar Farinetti. “Firstly, the city of Toronto values high quality food. And we do too. Secondly this will be our first Canadian location, and with every first in a new market comes something full of excitement and adrenaline. Lastly, and above all, we are entering the market with people we fully trust and we share the same passions with.”
