New GM at PRN

Premier Retail Networks (San Francisco) has hired Peter Cullen as its general manager, consumer electronics networks. Based in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Cullen is responsible for managing and growing PRN's Consumer Home Electronics Network, which is broadcast into Sears, Best Buy and Circuit City stores.

PRN partners with major advertisers and retailers to build, operate and manage in-store television and interactive networks that broadcast news, product information, entertainment and advertising to viewers while they shop.

Cullen joins PRN from ACTV Inc., an interactive TV firm, where he served as executive vp of enhanced media services. Prior to that, Cullen worked at America Online Inc. as vp of business development for its interactive marketing division. Cullen spent the first 10 years of his career with The Walt Disney Co., rising through the ranks in Disney's cable division.

“PRN is the dominant player in deploying media networks at retail, and I am very excited to join the team,” says Cullen. “The home electronics industry is rapidly evolving, offering an increasing number of new products and services every day. Through our network of top retailers, PRN is uniquely positioned to deliver entertaining, informative and engaging messaging to support the adoption of these new products.”

Founded in 1993, PRN is the world's largest retail media network. In addition to Sears, Circuit City and Best Buy, PRN's retail partners include Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and Footaction.
