Nordstrom Installing Wanelo Displays

Merging digital shopping and brick-and-mortar stores, Nordstrom, Inc. (Seattle) is bringing Wanelo, the trendy social shopping site, into 107 of its U.S. stores. Video displays will feature styles carried by the retailer and rated most popular by Wanelo users. Nordstrom has become a Wanelo favorite this year, racking up more than one million followers in the last five months. Since Wanelo, short for “Want, Need, Love,” launched in 2011, more than 11 million users and 300,000 stores have uploaded 12 million products, which have been saved two billion times, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

Similar to Pinterest, users can follow stores, friends and other shoppers and influencers, and save items from verified sites to their profile pages. Going a step further, Wanelo users can also purchase items using a mobile app or desktop site.
