Nordstrom Pop-Ups Honor the French

Nordstrom Inc. (Seattle) will launch a series of themed pop-up shops this month, to be called Pop-In @ Nordstrom, according to Women's Wear Daily.

The shops, which will appear in eight Nordstrom locations beginning October 10, will range in size from 450 to 1000 square feet and will honor French culture, fashion and art.

They will feature such items as vintage Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent fashion items and fashion illustrations by popular French artist Cédric Rivrain. The shops will also feature products from Merci in Paris, a philanthropic store that donates 100 percent of its proceeds to Madagascar, the first time Merci will be sold in the U.S.

The hard-walled shops, designed by Rafael de Cárdenas, have a green exterior and green and white diagonally striped walls, with the word “oui” on the outside.

Nordstrom said each new Pop-In concept will have a different design and theme.
