Office Depot Opens Store of the Future

Office Depot (Boca Raton, Fla.) has remodeled its store in Carson City, Nevada, with a new store design based on research the company gathered after surveying 6000 people.

This location is also the company’s first “Store of the Future” in the state. The company selects locations for these stores based on the population it serves, so that the company can more easily make adjustments as needed.

The space features a modernized layout, larger signage and improved sightlines so customers can find products easier. The store also features more interactivity so customers can test out a variety of products.

The research also prodded the company to provide new amenities with more in-store assistance and customized services to better serve customers, reports the Reno Gazette-Journal.
