Old Gringo Strides into Bricks-and-Mortar Retail

Western footwear brand Old Gringo (Houston) has opened its first-ever flagship store, in Fort Worth, Texas. Located within the historic Stockyards Station, the new retail shop features over 100 styles of Old Gringo’s trademark boots, including in-store exclusives.

Inside, guests experience an ode to Fort Worth’s history, including modern Western displays and a bar, as well as a covered patio to take in the city’s twice-daily cattle drive.

Old Gringo’s leather boots are handmade in León, Mexico, by way of a more than 275-step process. Founded in 2000 by Ernie Tarut and Yan Ferry, Old Gringo is expanding its offerings to include original apparel such as handbags, belts jackets and custom hats, all of which are available for purchase in the new store.

Originally based in San Diego, the new location will serve as the brand’s corporate headquarters. Future plans for the three-story space also include the first Old Gringo Grill, specializing in fresh seafood with a wood-fired grill and large covered balcony.
