Perrin Paris Launches French Flagship

Slated to open Friday, leather goods maker Perrin Paris (Paris) is setting up its first flagship in France, where it was founded in 1893.

The 750-square-foot unit at 3 Rue d’Alger, near the Tuileries gardens in Paris, will be the brand’s first standalone unit outside the U.S., reports Women's Wear Daily. The company opened stores in Beverly Hills and at the Carlyle in New York in 2009 and 2012, respectively.

“The notion behind the new venue is: We have been here forever. This is where we belong,” says Michel Perrin, whose great-great grandmother founded the company in Saint Junien with gloves as its core business.

Perrin said the company would like to open one new store a year and is eyeing additional locations, including Miami, Dallas, London and Hong Kong. “If we had 10 flagships in total, we would be perfectly happy,” he says.
