PetSmart Inc. (Phoenix) will open two stores in New York this year. The first store, located in the new East River Plaza shopping center, will open this month, while a second location, in NoHo on Broadway between Bleecker and West Houston, will debut in November. The NoHo store is housed in an historical, 100-year-old building and will carry a boutique look and feel.
To service its new urban audiences, both locations will offer a home delivery option. Other store amenities will include a full-service grooming salon; beginning, advanced, intermediate and private training classes for pets and pet parents; Doggie Day Camp day care center; and a PetsHotel.
“We look forward to joining the Manhattan pet parent community, as well as the years ahead of helping pet parents and pets enjoy their lives together,” says Bonnie Cameron Wells, senior marketing manager, customer experience at PetSmart.
PetSmart operates more than 1160 pet stores in the U.S. and Canada.
