Pioneer Millworks Launches Sustainable Line of Cladding Products

(PRESS RELEASE) FARMINGTON, NY — Pioneer Millworks, an employee-owned reclaimed and sustainable wood products company, announces its new line of Siding and Shiplap interior and exterior cladding products. Using only sustainably harvested Larch, Douglas fir, and acetylated Accoya (with its 50-year warranty) the product line will offer eco-friendly material choices to the building industry and are available unfinished for site finishing, as well as in a variety of low/no-VOC exterior grade stains and a pre-primed option for painting on site.

“Bringing sustainable and natural wood options that are made in U.S.A. to the exterior building material market allows folks to have healthy options for the outside of their spaces as well.” says Alan Lamparella, general manager of Pioneer Millworks, a leader in the reclaimed and sustainable wood industry. “We’ve always been committed to providing sustainable options to homeowners and the design and build community.”

Designed for modern interior and exterior uses the new Siding and Shiplap product line ranges through a versatile color and finish palate from Scandinavian whites, trendy blacks, cool and warm greys, and browns to distinctive reds and blues. Unfinished and pre-primed options allow any project to take on a custom look with ease. Milling options include classic Shiplap (no reveal), Shiplap Nickel-Gap, Square Edge (S3S), or TGBVE with 1/8” bevel. These products will provide designers, builders, and DIY remodelers flexibility when working on green-minded projects and expands on the Spring 2021 launch of their Shou Sugi Ban collection, a 50+ charred paneling and siding product offering.

The 45 product Siding and Shiplap line represent Pioneer Millworks continued commitment to bringing the highest quality sustainable wood products possible to the home improvement, design, and building industries. Pioneer Millworks products are crafted in the U.S.A. from mills in New York and Oregon, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, UL Greenguard Gold certified, LEED point eligible, and follow up their commitment to material transparency with Health Product Declarations (HPDs). Accoya is also Cradle to Cradle certified.
