Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI, Chicago) announced the names of two industry professionals to be inducted into the POPAI Hall of Fame: Andy Edelman, chief experiential officer – Applied Merchandising Concepts, and Bill Smith, senior display manager – Duracell at The Procter & Gamble Company.

“This year’s class of inductees demonstrate very savvy businessman, devoted to the in-store marketing industry, and a driving force behind the development and evolution of the industry as we know it,” says Richard Winter, POPAI president. “Each inductee brought his vibrant and creative energy to our industry over the years, and POPAI, as well as the rest of the marketing at retail community, looks forward to celebrating their careers and accomplishments as we induct them into the POPAI Hall of Fame.”

Hall of Fame members are selected from among those who have made a significant contribution to the marketing at retail industry and have worked in the industry for at least 25 years. The 2012 inductees will be honored at POPAI’s Night of Honors, which is being held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Chicago on December 6. For more information, visit www.popai.com.
