Primark Plans Second Chicagoland Store

Value fashion retailer Primark (Dublin) will open a new store in the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Ill., on Oct. 12. The 37,000-square-foot store will be the brand’s second in the Chicago market; the first opened two years ago in the city’s Loop.

“With the success of our North State Street store in Chicago, we see a huge demand from Chicagoland shoppers, and are pleased to soon open our doors in Schaumburg, providing even more access to Primark’s high-quality products at prices anyone can get behind,” said Kevin Tulip, President, U.S.

This opening is part of the brand’s plan to reach 60 U.S. stores by 2026. Woodfield will bring Primark to 22 U.S. stores and more than 434 stores globally.

According to various publications, the new store will take over space previously occupied by the last Sears store in its home state of Illinois (what’s left of the once-formidable chain is still based in Hoffman Estates).
