Ralphs Names Two Divisional VPs

Ralphs Grocery Co., the Los Angeles-based division of The Kroger Co. (Cincinnati), made two management changes in the store operations area of its supermarkets division.

Dan McDivitt was promoted to group vp, store operations, for the organization's Southern division, with responsibility for 112 Ralphs supermarkets in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties. McDivitt replaces Gary Raymond, who left for a position at Kroger's Michigan office. McDivitt will report directly to Dave Hansen, executive vp, store operations.

Replacing McDivitt as vp, store operations, Northern division, will be Chris Manders. He'll be responsible for the operation of 100 Ralphs stores throughout Los Angeles County and reaching into Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Kern and Fresno Counties. Manders most recently served as a district manager overseeing 20 high-volume Ralphs stores in West Los Angeles, Santa Monica and the South Bay.

Ralphs Grocery Co. currently operates 450 conventional and price-impact stores under the Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Foods Co, and Cala/Bell banners in California and Nevada.
