Reed Krakoff, New York

Reed Krakoff recently collaborated with artist Ivan Toth Depeña to create “The Walkers” for their New York boutique: a window display which utilizes a tracking mechanism to “walk” with passersby. A camera alters the vertical lighting to “move” side to side as pedestrians walk by the glass – and their mere presence, whether standing still or moving, causes the ambient lighting to dim and the vertical lighting to intensify.

Blocks of bold color truly seem to move as slightly puzzled and curious onlookers move past the window. Check out this intriguing aesthetic for yourself in a video provided by Ivan Toth Depeña.
