Rigby & Peller Taps New Leader

Intimate apparel retailer Rigby & Peller (London) has named Ginny Gerard as its new ceo of U.S. business, the former executive vp for Paris-based Christofle North America, reports Women’s Wear Daily

Belgian lingerie company Van de Velde owns U.K.-based Rigby & Peller, which acquired Intimacy (Atlanta) stores in the U.S. late last year. Intimacy stores, founded by Susan Nethero, also known as “The Bra Whisperer” after appearing on “Oprah” in 2005, specialized in fit consultations.

Gerard will head the retailer’s stateside business, which includes an e-commerce site, 12 stores and lingerie brands such as Stella McCartney and Simone Perele that are exclusive to Rigby & Peller in the U.S.
