Aéropostale Cutting 100 Corporate Jobs

Aéropostale (New York) is implementing a cost-reduction program to save money, which includes cutting 100 corporate positions by the end of fiscal 2015. That is a reduction of 13 percent.

The aggressive cost-cutting measures also will target direct and indirect spending throughout the organization and is expected to generate between $35 million and $40 million in pre-tax savings, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

The news also comes as the retailer updated its expectations for its fourth-quarter earnings, where it expects to record operating losses up to $10 million.
