Sam's Club Adds Big Box in Illinois

Big box merchant Sam's Club (Bentonville, Ark.) will open the doors to a new store in Elgin, Ill., this month. The new location marks the 29th Sam's Club location in the state, including more than 20 in the greater Chicago area and the first in the “City in the Suburbs.” The new 140,000-square-foot location will include a pharmacy, digital one-hour photo center and 12-pump fuel station.

Sam's Club, a division of Walmart Stores, Inc., is the nation's eighth largest retailer with clubs across the U.S., as well as in Brazil, China and Mexico.
