Samsung Opens 'Experience Stores'

Samsung (Samsung Town, Seoul) opened nine “Experience Stores” throughout the U.K. Wenesday in an attempt to remain competitive with rival Apple, who operates 27 stores in the U.K. and 432 worldwide, according to The Telegraph.

The new “Experience” store concept, based on customer service provided by “Samsung Experience Consultants” and Best Buy sales assistants, has been seen to echo Apple’s Genius Bar model, the paper reported.

The stores mimic the sleek, uncluttered aesthetic of Apple's stores and will carry a full range of Samsung products, including mobile phones, tablets, laptops and wearable devices. The U.K. stores opened just in time for the April 11 launch of the Samsung Gallery S5, which is expected to compete head to head with Apple's iPhone 5S.
