Samsung Opens Experiential Flagship

Samsung (Seoul, South Korea) opened a new flagship in New York's Meatpacking District. The store now occupies a 40,000-square-foot location, but will not carry any retail products.

Fast Company reports the new store features a three-story digital screen made of Samsung televisions, a theater, a demo kitchen, an art gallery, a multimedia studio and a café. The location will host movie screenings, book signings and DJ sets, in what general manager Zach Overton calls an “immersive cultural center.”

Though items will not be stocked, customers can still try out Samsung products and learn about them in interactive displays. Customers can place orders digitally.
