Schutz Flagship Planned for L.A.

Arezzo&Co (Campo Bom, Brazil) is opening a new U.S. flagship, set to launch April 19 in Los Angeles on Beverly Drive.

The retailer currently operates one store for its Schutz brand in New York on Madison Avenue, which opened in 2012, and has plans to open about 30 additional U.S. stores throughout 2017.

The company is confident that it can financially compete in the American market, as raw material prices have dropped in Brazil due to its current recession, allowing its shoe prices to be on par with Chinese footwear prices. It also promises that its production team is able to respond to changing trends and turn around new product designs within a month, as compared to Chinese teams that can take up to three months to accomplish that feat, reports Reuters.
