Sears Cuts 250 Jobs

Sears Holdings Corp. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) unveiled Thursday that it had eliminated the positions of 250 employees and would not fill another 150 open positions.

The Daily Herald reports that 200 of those cuts came from the company’s corporate headquarters, while the rest came from Seattle; Troy, Michigan; San Francisco; New York, and other locations. The company also announced a few weeks ago that 50 stores would be closed.

On the same day, Sears reported $580 million in fourth quarter net losses and dwindling sales.
