Sears, Roebuck and Co. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) reported a domestic sale-store sales increase of 1.3 percent for the four weeks ended Feb. 26, 2005. Total domestic store revenues were up 2.2 percent.

The company also reported sales improvements in Great Indoors, Sears Hardware and Orchard Supply specialty segments.

“We were pleased with our February sales results,” said chairman and ceo Alan Lacy. “Home appliances and automotive continued their positive momentum and most categories within apparel performed well, with particularly strong improvement in women’s ready-to-wear.”
