Shinola Plans CA Stores

Shinola (Detroit) has announced that it plans to open two stores in Northern California in the future. The company has not yet stated when the stores are expected to open. These will be the company's 12th and 13th stores.

One location is slated for San Francisco’s Financial District in the historic Belli Building in Jackson Square. The 3200-square-foot space that will offer the brand’s full line of goods as well as a rotating pop-up shop that will feature other American designers. It is also expected to regularly offer shopping events, in-store speakers and feature local restaurants and bartenders.

The second store is planned for Palo Alto, Calif., and will occupy a 1700-square-foot space in the historic Birge Clark building located downtown. It will not offer as wide a variety of offerings as the San Francisco store, but will operate as a community gathering space where public and private events can be held, reports San Francisco Business Times.
