Target Offers Carts for Special Needs Children

Target Stores (Minneapolis) has said that in an effort to accommodate the needs of shoppers with special needs children they will begin offering “Caroline’s Carts” at all locations with full-sized shopping carts.

Retailing Today reports the carts are designed by Drew Ann Long, a stay-at-home mother from Alabama. The carts offer a larger than normal seating area for children who have outgrown the seat of traditional shopping carts in order to eliminate the need for special strollers.

The company explained the idea to carry the carts came from a store team member who has a special needs child.
