The Tribeca Grand Hotel, a triangular building in lower Manhattan, boasts a warm, open atmosphere. Bogdanow Partners Architects PC, New York, designed the hotel's interior public areas, including conference rooms, bathrooms, elevators and the atrium/lobby.

To provide flexibility, designers defined the open atrium and gathering areas with furniture (including custom-designed slipper chairs, cocktail tables and leather sofas), changes in flooring materials and ceiling height. A highlight of the warm space — a series of 66 paraffin lights flickering against a copper tile-lined niche — suggests a “fireplace” at the lobby's north wall.
