Urban Outfitters to Open “Lifestyle Concept” Store

Urban Outfitters Inc. (Philadelphia) is about to unveil a new “lifestyle center” concept in New York with its largest store in the world.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the retailer has signed a lease for 56,730 square feet on three levels on the northwest corner of 35th Street and Broadway, just north of Macy’s Herald Square flagship.

Anthony Malkin, president of Malkin Holdings LLC (New York), which supervises the property, told WWD that Urban Outfitters will create “an innovative new lifestyle center concept with new features never before seen from the brand.” He said the company will take occupancy in September.
