Urban Outfitters: VMSD's 2009 Retailer of the Year

This year’s International Retail Design Conference promises to “Feed Your Muse,” and nobody provides better creative sustenance than the 2009 Peter Glen Retailer of the Year: Urban Outfitters Inc. and its brands Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain and Urban Outfitters.

The company is one of few retailers still reporting strong sales. But there’s also the fact that Urban Outfitters is committed to innovative, exciting and beautiful store design and visual merchandising – during good times and bad.

Anthropologie store design director James Smith will accept the honor at IRDC on Friday, September 25, during an awards presentation that also recognizes winners of VMSD’s annual International Visual and Retail Renovation competitions. For more information and to register for the conference, visit IRDConline.com.
