VF Corp. Plans to Expand

VF Corp. (Greensboro, N.C.) has announced it will open 150 new stores this year.

The maker of such famous brands as Wrangler and Vans is adding the stores to its current fleet of 1401 units in an effort to grow its retail and e-commerce business, according to the Greensboro News & Record. The company plans to open stores worldwide, but the majority of them will be in the U.S.

“This strategy enables VF to build on the momentum of our direct-to-consumer business, which includes our company-owned stores and e-commerce platforms,” said Brendan Sullivan, VF Corp.’s vp for direct-to-consumer business.
