VIRA Acquires Bon-Art

VIRA Manufacturing (Perth Amboy, N.J.), designer and producer of retail store fixtures and displays, has acquired the principal customer accounts and selected assets of Bon-Art Inc. (Newark, N.J.), one of the older companies in the store fixture and display industry.

“We are thrilled to have the team at Bon-Art join VIRA,” said VIRA ceo Mark Simon. “The consolidation of Bon-Art with VIRA represents an excellent opportunity to bring together the complementary strengths of two superior companies into one formidable organization. The combination of the two organizations will yield added benefits and capabilities for our customers, suppliers and employees immediately, and down the road.”

Alex Nobile, who has been serving as Bon-Art ceo, will become president of VIRA's Bon-Art division. Plans are currently under way to consolidate the Bon-Art division's operations into VIRA's Perth Amboy facility.

VIRA, founded in 1991, has 250,000 square feet of manufacturing facility (according to the 2002 survey conducted by VM+SD magazine), producing custom and stock fixtures, showcases, slatwall, racks, stands and refrigerated food systems in wood, metal, acrylic, wire and glass.
