VM+SD Announces Scholarship Fund for Retail Design Student

CINCINNATI, OH – November 7, 2001 – During the first annual VM+SD International Retail Design Conference October 28–31, 2001, the magazine formally announced its intentions to award a $2000 scholarship to an institution of higher education. The scholarship will be awarded for the first time at the 2002 Conference being held September 18 – 21 in Pasadena, CA. Each year, the scholarship money will go to a student who is enrolled in a retail design program in the local area of that year's conference.

VM+SD is committed to ensuring the future of retail design,” states associate publisher Carole Winters. “We have one simple mission and that is to educate and inform the retail design community – through the magazine, our vmsd.com web site, the VM+SD International Retail Design Conference, and now through this scholarship. We look forward to presenting this scholarship next year to one of retail design's most talented and promising students.”
