West Elm Expands to Idaho

This Thursday, home furnishings retailer West Elm (New York), a division of San Francisco-based William Sonoma, will open its first Idaho store in downtown Bosie, according to Retailing Today.

As a nod to the state’s agricultural roots, the store’s custom interior will include “Tater Blocks,” an art installation made from wood salvaged from the floor of Simplot’s Caldwell-based potato storage facility.

The 14,158-square-foot store will also feature local assortment from eight Idaho creators and a signature ‘Design Lab’ with complimentary design services, according to a press release. West Elm currently operates 87 U.S. stores.
