Williams-Sonoma Launches New Format

Kitchen retailer Williams-Sonoma Inc. (San Francisco) has designed a new store format for the Ponce City Market in Atlanta, which offers visitors a direct opening between the retail store and the restaurant of celebrity chef Jonathan Waxman.

Due to open this fall, Retailing Today reports that this is the first Williams-Sonoma floor plan that includes an independent business. The floor plan will include a glass wall between the store and restaurant so shoppers can view the dining room and gather inspiration.

The store will also offer a home showroom, regional food items, and free technique cooking classes every Saturday. A children’s cooking class will also be offered every Sunday.
