Uniqlo Expands to Chicago

Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo Co. Ltd. (Tokyo) has announced the opening of a new store, set to open in Chicago on Oct. 23. The store will be a three-story showcase space on Michigan Avenue.

The Chicago Tribune reports that new location will be the company’s largest U.S. location outside of its New York flagship and the first location in the Midwest.

Uniqlo currently operates more than 40 stores in the U.S., and more than 1600 stores worldwide. Its U.S. operations have almost doubled in size in the past year with no signs of slowing expansion.
