Abercrombie Reveals New Store Prototype

In February, Abercrombie & Fitch (New Albany, Ohio) introduced its first new store design in more than 15 years at Columbus, Ohio’s Polaris Fashion Mall. The fresh concept encapsulates the retailer’s updated direction for the brand, with markedly different interior elements than its past designs, including an open storefront, a store window and open sightlines to the back of the space. The environment features multiple shop-in-shops, including a fragrance “apothecary,” an area for seasonal capsule collections and a dedicated denim room. Multiple cashwraps, as well as omnichannel and BOPIS features, provide ease of shopping for customers.

This store opening originally appeared in the April 2017 issue of VMSD in the "On Our Radar" section.
