Alice and Olivia to Open First D.C. Location

Georgetown boutique part of M Street fashion movement

Women’s clothier Alice and Olivia (New York) will open its first D.C.-area location in September at 3303 M St. NW, bringing owner Stacey Bendet’s high-end designs to Georgetown, the Washington Business Journal reported.

The retailer has signed a 10-year lease for the 2400-square-foot space that Qdoba Mexican Grill vacated in January.

According to the Journal, Alice and Olivia's lease is part of an ongoing westward movement of fashion along the street, and the neighborhood's trend of restaurant-turned-retail spaces.

Alice and Olivia specializes in upscale ready-to-wear women’s clothing. The line also includes shoes, handbags, children’s clothes and some menswear.
