STORE OPENINGS

Alienware (Miami), a manufacturer of computer games and equipment, has opened its first Alienware Experience, a store-within-a-store in the Micro Center in Paterson, N.J.

Prime Retail (Baltimore), an operator of 21 outlet centers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, announced that the following retailers are opening stores this summer at its Prime Outlets complex in San Marcos, Texas: 7 for All Mankind, Ed Hardy Outlet, Etro, Loro Piana and Tory Burch.

ASSOCIATIONS

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced that its new headquarters in Washington, D.C., has become the first project to receive Platinum certification under the LEED rating system. In addition, the USGBC said it has been accepted by the Green Building Certification Institute as its first Education Reviewing Body, which means it is authorized to review and approve continuing education offerings under the LEED Professional Credentialing Maintenance Program.

Winntech (Kansas City, Mo.), a designer and producer of retail environments, has opened a Middle East and North Africa office Bahrain, and hired Brian Harvey as creative director.

Ruitenberg Displays Inc. (North Haledon, N.J.), a provider of strategic branding, store design, store planning, décor manufacturing, lighting, millwork and installation services, has debuted an upgraded web site at www.rdisplays.com.

Harris Corp. (Melbourne, Fla.) a provider of communications and information technology products and services, announced that Stadium, a Swedish sports retail chain, has installed Harris InfoCaster Player content playout systems at its 110 stores in Scandinavia.

Accenta Inc. (Largo, Fla.), a manufacturer of portable and customized displays, has opened an office in Mexico City and named Daniel Lopez Garibay to run its production, sales and warehouse facilities.

Martin Professional A/S (Aarhus, Denmark), a commercial lighting firm, has named Torben Kaae Poulsen regional service manager for its new EMEA region.
