Amazon to Open Brick-and-Mortar Fashion Store

E-commerce behemoth Amazon (Seattle) is once again doubling down on physical retail with its latest effort, Amazon Style, reports Geekwire. The store will meld the retailer’s tech expertise with consumers’ desire to touch and try on clothing.

The first store will open this year in Los Angeles shopping, dining and entertainment center The Americana at Brand. Last year, Amazon bested Walmart for the top spot based on 2021 U.S. revenue among apparel retailers in the U.S. per Wells Fargo.
