Walgreens CMO Departs After Two Years

After just two years in the role, Walgreens CMO Patrick McLean is leaving the company, reports AdWeek. He shared that he was leaving the Deerfield-Ill.-based retailer in a LinkedIn post.

“From developing and driving our Mass Personalization agenda including the launch of myWalgreens, the implementation and activation of our marketing technology stack and the introduction of Walgreens Advertising Group, and especially advancing the role we serve in communities through Covid-19 marketing efforts, it’s been a thrill of a lifetime and a true honor.” he wrote.

Walgreens has not disclosed who will fill the open position.
