Armstrong World Industries Acquires GC Products

(PRESS RELEASE) LANCASTER, PA – Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI), a leader in the design, innovation, and manufacture of ceiling and wall solutions in the Americas, announced it has acquired GC Products, a leading manufacturer of durable, custom architectural interior products made of glass fiber reinforced gypsum and cement (GFRG/GRG and GFRC).

Based in Lincoln, Calif., GC Products increases AWI’s ability to serve customers in the Western U.S. with molded ceiling, specialty wall and other interior and exterior products.

Mark Hershey, AWI senior vice president, Americas said, “We are pleased to welcome GC Products to our growing Architectural Specialties segment. With their innovative portfolio and strong regional brand recognition, GC Products is an attractive complement to our existing Plasterform™ architectural castings business and increases our ability to serve the growing demand for custom-cast and other novel architectural solutions. We look forward to building on the success of GC Products by leveraging AWI’s brand, scale, and market reach.”
