Barneys and Disney to Celebrate the Holidays Together

In 2011, it was Lady Gaga. For the upcoming holiday season, luxury department store retailer Barneys New York is collaborating with Walt Disney Co. to give its retail stores a burst of color and lights, music and Disney characters called “Electric Holiday.”

The holiday display will include “moving art” depicting fashion-forward versions of beloved Disney characters as runway models on the catwalk, each dressed in a one-of a-kind look created by a well-known designer.  The fashion show and window displays will feature a light show and original musical score by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino.
