Birchbox Hires for Offline Expansion

Birchbox (New York) plans to expand its retail presence in 2016 and, to do, has added executives to its corporate team who have experience in brick-and-mortar sales and design.

The first new hire is former Sephora (Paris) executive Philippe Pinatel who has been named the company’s coo and president. He specialized in omnichannel sales as general manager of Sephora Inside J.C. Penney and was a managing director at Guerlain France (Levallois-Perret, France). He will oversee a variety of tasks at Birchbox, including focusing on strategic growth and reinforcing the company as a major beauty retailer.

Ben Fay was also hired as vp of retail development and customer experience. Fay previously led retail store design at Apple (Cupertino, Cali.) and J.C. Penney (Plano, Texas). Birhbox has also added   as vp of retail operations and Andrew Lande-Shannon as design director of offline retail who will oversee store design, reports New York Business Journal.
