Bulgari Opens New Delhi Flagship

Bulgari (Rome) opened its first flagship in India, an 1800-square-foot space in New Delhi’s DLF Emporio Mall. The opening was made possible by a new Indian policy allowing foreign direct investment in single-brand retail. Bulgari’s launch in India is part of a surge in that country’s luxury market, which grew 30 percent in 2013 to $8.5 billion, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Luxury retail is expected to continue to grow, reaching $14 billion by 2016, according to government figures. The store launched with an exclusive collection from with Indian designer Anamika Khanna, whose couture outfits highlight Bulgari’s signature jewelry.
